Ambrose Falls to Briercrest in Season Opener

Calgary, AB- Ambrose Lion's volleyball home openers were happening this evening, Friday November 12th. The Ambrose Lion's welcomed the Briercrest Clippers into the lions den this evening, showing some determination and strength, from both teams. The Briecrest clippers came out strong and took all three sets to win them the match, 3-0.

Briercrest rose above the Ambrose lions in the first set with a score of 25-19. Ambrose came close in the second set, but fell short and briercrest winning, 30-28. the final set was an easy win for Clippers with a score of 25-16. Briercrest had some impeccable plays and team work with #11, Karym Coleman, with 20 kills and a 56% kill percentage. More work cming from #13, Davis Borden, with 8 kills. The Lions worked together, but came up short in these matches. #7, Nicholas Jabusch, had an impeccable match with 12 kills and 1 ace. Setter, #9, Emmitt Juul-Hansen showed great leadership throughout the match and had 28 assists, over all three sets. 

The players of the game were #7, Jabusch and #11, Coleman.

Both teams rest up for the evening and play each other on Saturday afternoon to close off the weekend.
