Broncos Secure Victory Over the Lions in Final Home Game of the Semester

Calgary, AB- The final games of the semester wrapped up this Friday evening. The Ambrose Lions were hungry for their first home game victory over the Olds College Broncos, but unfortunately came up short after their win on the road the previous night. The close match the previous evening, set the night up for a close rematch, Friday evening. 

Both teams were hungry for a win tonight, which showed in each of the sets scores. The first set was a close one with the final score being 33-31 for the broncos and sets two and three, only with in two points. Strong performances came from two Broncos players; #5 Aidyn Phillips with 11 kills and also from #6 Matheus Franca with 14 kills and 6 digs. The Ambrose Lions faught hard this evening with impressive games played by all with contributions from all starters. #11, Joshua Nickel finished the game with 16 kills, followed close behind with three players scoring 11 kills for the match; #13 Kade Miller, #15 Nikita Marchenkov and #7 Nicholas Jabusch. The Players of the game from both teams were their libero's who faught hard on defence. #12 Braden Bates from the Broncos and #12 Carter McLenahan from the Ambrose Lions. 

Both teams will look forward to January for their next games.
