Fourth quarter comeback not enough for the Lions to beat the Kodiaks.

 Calgary, AB – The Ambrose University Lions hosted the Lethbridge College Kodiaks on Friday night for their final meeting of the regular season. The Kodiaks got off to a great start with a 14-point lead after the third quarter. However, the Lions weren't done and outscored the Kodiaks 21-10 in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, that was not quite enough as the Kodiaks won by a score of 52-49.

Kirsten Barwegen (#11) had an excellent game for the Kodiaks, scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. The Kodiaks also had a great game from Matlin Jacobs (#4) who scored 9 points and had 3 steals. Paige Goertzen (#14) led the Lions with 13 points to go with her 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

The player of the game for the Kodiaks was Kirsten Barwegen (#11) with her game-high 15 points and 13 rebounds. The player of the game for the Lions was Paige Goertzen (#14) for her team-high 13 points.

The Kodiaks' next game is on Saturday, February 19th where they will finish their regular season with a game against the SAIT Trojans. The Lions' next game is against Red Deer Polytechnic next Friday, February 25.
