Ambrose Lions still searching for their first home win of the season after loss to St. Mary’s.

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions were hoping to earn their first home win of the season Friday night against the St. Mary's Lightning but came up short as St. Mary's took the match by a score of 78-65. The game was quite close throughout as the Lightning led by 7 points at half-time, but they outscored the Lions 15-9 in the fourth quarter on the way to a well-deserved victory.

The Lightning had a few impressive performances including a game high 18 rebounds by Ryan Morck (#7) and an excellent overall game from Caleb Jipp (#3) who scored 27 points and added 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The Lions got a great game out of a few of their starters with Brayden Daniel (#21) scoring 9 points on 50% shooting and adding 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Player of the game for the Lightning was #7, Ryan Morck. The Player of the game for the Lions was #21, Brayden Daniel.

These two teams will meet again on Saturday afternoon when the Lightning play host to the Lions at 3 PM.
