Late push from the Lions not enough to overcome the Kodiaks

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose University Lions hosted the Lethbridge College Kodiaks on Friday as the Lions look to clinch their spot in the ACAC playoffs. The Kodiaks came out strong with a 17-point lead at halftime. The Lions made up some ground in the second half, but it wasn't enough as they lost by a final score of 80-73.

The Kodiaks had 3 players who scored 10 or more points, with Jack-Henry Fox-Grey (#9) scoring a team high of 20. The Kodiaks' Chris Schlauwitz (#8) had a great game, scoring 18 points and adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Linden Jackson (#3) had another great game for the Lions, scoring a game-high 22 points, 9 of which he scored in the 4th quarter as the Lions tried to stage their comeback.

The player of the game for the Kodiaks was #9 Jack-Henry Fox-Grey. The player of the game for the Lions was #3 Linden Jackson.

The Kodiaks' next game is on Saturday, February 19th when they play the SAIT Trojans. The Lions' next game will be against Red Deer Polytechnic on Friday, February 25.
