Lion's Loss in Battle of Calgary

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions Men's Volleyball team played host to the SAIT Trojans Friday night in hopes of earning their first win of the season. Both teams played well, but in the end the Trojans took the match in three sets. The Lions managed to keep it close, and almost extended the match in the third set where they eventually lost 30-28 (SAIT). 

SAIT had a great game from Ryan Zachary (#15) who was awarded the Player of the Game honours for the Trojans. Zachary earned this with this solid all-around game, exemplified by his 6 kills, 2 service aces, and 2 digs. The Lions had another excellent game from setter Emmitt Juul-Hansen (#9) who finished this match with 31 assists and 2 blocks. The Player of the Game for the Lions was ultimately given to Josh Nickel (#11) who had an excellent match with 13 kills, 3 service aces, and 1 dig.

These two teams will rest up and look forward to playing each other again this Saturday afternoon when the SAIT Trojans host the Ambrose Lions at 3 PM.
