Ambrose Lions start off the second half of their season with a win against the Medicine Hat Rattlers.

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions earned their 4th win of the season against the Medicine Hat Rattlers Friday night, to start off the second half of their season with a bang. The Lions won the first set by a score of 25-17, though the second and third sets were close with the Rattlers scoring 21 points in the second and 20 points in the third sets, ultimately losing in three straight sets to the Lions. 

The Rattlers had a solid match overall despite the results, as exemplified by their outside hitter Sarah Singular (#10) who earned 8 kills and 9 digs over the course of the three sets. Medicine Hat's setter, Jordi Hazen (#6) added 15 assists and 5 digs of her own.  

The Lions played an excellent match, and the success was spread out across the entire lineup with 5 different players scoring 5 or more kills each. One highlight was the Lions' setter Lexi Herrod (#8) who had 33 assists in only 3 sets. 

The player of the game for the Rattlers was Hailey Adams (#7), the Rattlers' libero who made 6 digs, doing her best to keep her team in the match for all three sets. The player of the game for the Lions was middle Gracee Fehr (#12) who earned 5 kills, 1 service ace, and 1 block, helping to lead the Lions to their first victory of 2022. 

These two teams will meet again on Saturday afternoon when the Rattlers host the Lions at 6pm.
