Upset for Women's Volleyball vs. the #2 Ranked Kodiaks

Calgary, AB- The Women's volleyball team really came together Saturday evening when they took on the Kodiaks and beat them in 4 sets. The Lions were hungry for a win and really fought for every ball on the court. They were eager to beat the Kodiaks.

Amazing performances were had through out. The Kodiaks had great team work, with kills from multiple players including #3 Jamie Brown with 14 kills, and #14 Reia Taylor with 7 kills. they awarded player of the game to #6 Aideena Wickstrom with 5 digs, 3 blocks and 4 kills.

The Ambrose Lions were also very even across the board with 5 of their players getting over 5 kills each. #6 Madeline Williscroft had a great game with 10 kills, followed closely behind with both #13 Elise Wagner and #2 Taylor Hart, both with 9 kills. #12 Gracee Fehr and #9 Brooklyn Deol contributed 6 kills for their team. Player of the game was awarded to #13Elise Wagner  with her 9 kills, and three digs.

The lions look ahead to next weekend where they play Briercrest and Medicine hat. And the kodiaks look ahead to play Olds college.
