Ambrose Lions search for their first win of 2022 against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions played their first game of 2022 Saturday night against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers. The Lions outscored the Rattlers 17-15 in the the first quarter, but the Rattlers outscored the Lions in every quarter that followed, ultimately taking the match by a score of 84-63.

The Rattlers had an incredible performance from Kieron Burgess (#11) who scored 16 points as well as an impressive 20 rebounds. The Rattlers had seven players overall who scored 8 or more points each, leading to the team scoring 49 points in just the second half alone. The Lions put up a good effort with Isaac Amsing (#14) scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. However, Linden Jackson (#3) had perhaps the most impressive game as he scored 27 points, adding 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

The Player of the game for the Rattlers was Kieron Burgess (#11) and the Player of the game for the Lions was Linden Jackson (#3).

The Rattlers' next game is on Friday, January 21 when they host the SAIT Trojans. The Lions' next game also comes on Friday, January 21 when they visit the Red Deer College Kings.
