Final Home Game of the Semester Win

Calgary AB- The Ambrose Lions hosted Red Deer Polytechnic this past Friday night. The game was quite close throughout with the Lions leading all first three quarters. The Queens gave it all they got in the fourth quarter, outscoring the lions 19-15 which was not enough.

Paige Goertzen had a great performance with a double double of 19 points and 16 rebounds, helping the lions in their victory. Marin Barkey also had a great night with 17 points and 8 blocks. 5 - Makenna Graham, also contributed 11points and 6 assists.

Red Deer had some great plays and contributions from players. #12 - Sophie Melin finished the game with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. 

The players of the game were awarded to the Lions graduating seniors: Paige Goertzen and Danielle Trisevic with 8 points and 7 rebounds. The queens player of the game went to #12, Sophie Melin.

The Lions hit the road tomorrow to take on the Queens on their home court, tomorrow at 6pm.
