In a thrilling match-up at the lions den, the Ambrose Lions clashed against the formidable St. Mary's Lightning. The stage was set for an intense battle as the Lightning entered the game ranked 4th in the ACAC, facing off against the 5th ranked Lions.

From the opening tip-off, Ambrose surged ahead, establishing an early lead in the first quarter. With precision and tenacity, they commanded a 19-11 advantage by the end of the initial period, showcasing their determination on their home court.

The Lightning, true to their ranking, fought back fiercely in the second quarter, narrowing the gap but unable to overtake the Lions. Ambrose maintained their composure and offensive prowess, heading into halftime with a 34-24 lead.

As the game progressed into the second half, both teams displayed their skill and resilience. St. Mary's surged in the third quarter, putting up a formidable 20 points, but the Lions matched their intensity, answering back with 22 points of their own. The score stood at 56-44 in favor of Ambrose heading into the final quarter.

The Lightning intensified their efforts in the fourth quarter, mounting a determined comeback bid. However, the Lions stood firm, displaying remarkable defense and strategic plays to secure their victory. Despite a spirited late surge from St. Mary's, Ambrose maintained their lead, ultimately clinching the win with a final score of 66-57.

11  Andria Stitt and #13 Makayla Rose both had a great game from the lions, with 18 points each. #6 Adit Deng was killer on the boards with 17 rebounds. Nya Gach from the lions had a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Marin Barkey from the lions had a great game with 18 points,5 rebounds and 2 assists. 

The lions wil take a nice break for Christmas and then prepare for their first match back against SAIT on January 19th.
