Ambrose Beats Broncos at Home

In a thrilling matchup at the Ambrose Gym, the Ambrose University women's basketball team dominated Olds College from start to finish, securing an impressive victory with a final score of 87-44.

From the opening tip-off, Ambrose set the tone for the game, establishing a commanding lead in the first quarter. The home team showcased their offensive prowess, putting up an impressive 31 points while holding Olds College to just 10. The Ambrose players moved the ball effectively, finding open looks and converting them into points.The second quarter saw Ambrose extending their lead, as they continued to demonstrate both offensive efficiency. The halftime score reflected Ambrose's dominance, with a comfortable 56-19 lead. Despite the significant lead, Ambrose did not let up in the third quarter. They maintained their intensity on both ends of the court, adding 14 more points to their total. Olds College, to their credit, showed signs of resilience, putting up 10 points in the quarter, but the gap remained substantial heading into the final period. The fourth quarter witnessed a continued display of Ambrose's skill and teamwork. While Olds College managed to put up 15 points in the quarter, Ambrose responded with 17 of their own, securing the victory with a final score of 87-44.

Caitlin Paul had a great game of the Broncos with 20 points. The lions had many contributers including, Nya Gach with 17 points, Tegan McArthur with 14 and Ariana Dela Paz with 11. the starting line up for the lions were defensive queens, each with at least 2 steals for the game.

The Lions look ahead to next weekend when they travel to Briercrest.
