SAIT Trojans Secure Victory over Ambrose Lions in Women's Soccer

This Saturday night the SAIT Trojans posted an impressive win over the Ambrose Lions while playing on Ambrose's home field. After opening the scoring early in the first half, SAIT went on to win with a final score of 10-0.

Offence was the name of the game for the SAIT Trojans, scoring their first goal in just the fifth minute of the game, then following it up with six more goals in the first half. Despite a few good attempts, the Ambrose Lions remained unsuccessful and could not find the back of the net.

SAIT's Harleen Kaur-Singh and Meagan Wiebe had spectacular nights, together they combined for a total of four goals and two assists.

The Ambrose goalkeeper Carley Polinelli had a great night as well. She made a notable 21 saves as well as one highlight worthy diving save to stop a strong attack from the SAIT offence. This performance earned her Player of the Game for the Ambrose Lions.

After a well rounded performance on both ends of the field, Jaime McPherson took home the Player of the Game award for the SAIT Trojans.

The Ambrose Lions travel to Medicine Hat to take on the Rattlers next weekend, while the Sait Trojans will face off against Augustana.
