Upset for Women's Volleyball vs. the #2 Ranked Kodiaks

Calgary, AB- The Women's volleyball team really came together Saturday evening when they took on the Kodiaks and beat them in 4 sets. The Lions were hungry for a win and really fought for every ball on the court. They were eager to beat the Kodiaks.
Ambrose Lions look to keep 4-game winning streak alive as they host the Red Deer Queens.

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions have won 4 straight matches this season (dating back to a December 2nd win against Olds College) and were up against the Red Deer Queens who came into this match on an 8-game winning streak of their own. The Lions came out strong, narrowly losing the first set, and then winning the second set, but then the Queens took over, winning the final two sets to extend their win streak to 9 matches.
Ambrose Lions start off the second half of their season with a win against the Medicine Hat Rattlers.

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions earned their 4th win of the season against the Medicine Hat Rattlers Friday night, to start off the second half of their season with a bang. The Lions won the first set by a score of 25-17, though the second and third sets were close with the Rattlers scoring 21 points in the second and 20 points in the third sets, ultimately losing in three straight sets to the Lions.
Amazing Final Win of the Semester for the Ambrose Lions

Calgary, AB- The Ambrose Lions hosted the Olds College Broncos this Friday evening for the final games of the semester. Coming off of a big 3-0 win the night before, the Ambrose lions were hungry to cap off their semester, with another big win. All sets were fairly close, however the Lions cam on top.
Close Loss for Lion's Women's Volleyball

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions Women’s Volleyball team hosted the SAIT Trojans on Friday night, and the Trojans came out on top winning the match in 4 sets. The Lions kept it close, winning the second set, but that was not enough as they drop the first of two matches over two days against the Trojans.
First Big Win of the Season for the Ambrose Lions

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions women’s volleyball team earned their first win of the season over the Briercrest Clippers on Saturday night. The Lions won in decisive fashion, winning the match in three straight sets. The match started out evenly matched, with two closely fought sets going to the Lions, but the momentum continued to build for the Lions who won the final set 14-25 (AMB), looking dominant doing so.
Lions Open Season with Hard Loss

Calgary, AB- The Ambrose Lion's women's volleyball team opened their season on Friday night, hosting the Briercrest Clippers in their home opener. The Lions team faught hard in their opening match, but unfortunatley fell short with a 3-1 loss. Briercrest stayed strong throughout the match and showed drive and determination to bring home the win.

Willow Lewington Wins Second Consecutive Athlete of the Year Award

For the second consecutive year, Middle Blocker, Willow Lewington, was awarded the Ambrose Athletics Women’s Athlete of the Year. Leading her team to their 4th consecutive playoff appearance, Willow consistently proved, week after week, her skill on the court and leadership off of it.
