Ambrose Lions look to keep 4-game winning streak alive as they host the Red Deer Queens.

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions have won 4 straight matches this season (dating back to a December 2nd win against Olds College) and were up against the Red Deer Queens who came into this match on an 8-game winning streak of their own. The Lions came out strong, narrowly losing the first set, and then winning the second set, but then the Queens took over, winning the final two sets to extend their win streak to 9 matches.

The Queens had some great performances from many players on their team including Kaylee Domoney (#3) who had an incredible 11 digs, and Tess Pearman (#8) who made 11 kills, also earning 6 digs. The Lions had another great game from setter Lexi Herrod (#8) who had 30 assists and 4 digs, as well as Madeline Williscroft (#6) who had a game-high 14 kills to go with her 5 digs.

The Player of the game for the Queens was Vanessa Loos (#2) and the Player of the game for the Lions was Brooklyn Deol (#9) who had 9 kills and 4 blocks.

These two teams will meet again on Saturday, January 22nd as the Queens host the Lions.
