Lions Bounce back in Road Win against Queens

The Ambrose Lions bounced back on Saturday evening when they were on the road in Red Deer. Coming off of a 3-0 loss against Red Deer the night before, Ambrose beat the Queens 3 sets to 1 in a thrilling match. 

In a tight first set, the Lions and Queens were neck and neck and ended on a 26-24 finish for the lions. This first set win gave the lions momentum going into the second set. The second set was just as tight as the first with the lions and queens going back and forth with points. #6, Lauren Huntley brought the lions back with a couple kills, (assisted by Jillian Bieraugle) to give the lions some more momentum and ultimately, winning the second set,  on a big block from #7 Jillian Bieraugle.

The third set was taken by the Queens in a 25-18 victory over the lions. However, the Lions were hungry for a victory and started the fourth set with a 14-7 lead over the Queens. They took the fourth and final set 25-19. 

Some stellar performances from the Lions in Red Deer were from Lauren Huntley and Willow Lewington, each with 10 kills, assisted by setter; Jillian Bieraugle. 

The lions will take on the Univeristy of Augustana Vikings on November 11th at home. After this game they are 3 and 1.
