Bio

After graduating high school, Aphia pursued her passion and played at the USport level for the University of Waterloo Warriors. During her four years, she completed a Bachelor of Recreation and Sports Business.

For her fifth of eligability, Aphia went home to Edmonton and played in the ACAC for the NAIT Ooks. Her team entered the CCAA National Championship tournament as a wild card and took home the championship after defeating the VIU Mariners.

Aphia was named an ACAC second team all-star, CCAA Tournament 1st team all-star and was the Player of the Game in the National Championship game.

While playing, Aphia split her time giving back to the community as a coach starting when she was 14 years old. Before joining the staff at Ambrose University, she was assistant coach at her almamater, for the NAIT Ooks Women's Basketball team.
