Lions Swept in Home Final
January 28, 2023
In their final home game of the season the Ambrose Lions looked to put an end to their 5-game losing streak against the 11-4 Lethbridge College Kodiaks. Being the final home game, the Lions celebrated Seniors Night to recognize their graduating seniors #11 Josh Nickel and #2 Carter McLenahan.
Shorthanded Lions Fall to Top-Seeded Kings

The Ambrose Lions looked to put an end to their 3-game skid Saturday night against the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings. It would be a tall order as the Kings sit comfortably in 1st in their division with a league best 11-1 record. The Kings won the previous matchup against the Lions 3-0.

The 7-6 Ambrose Lions faced off against the 6-4 Keyano College Huskies at home on Saturday night. Both teams had lost their most recent matchup.
Lions Fall to Rustlers in New Year Return

The Ambrose Lions took on the Lakeland College Rustlers in Friday night to kick off their return after Christmas break. The Lions sport a 7-5 record at the midway point of the season while the Rustlers sit at 5-6 but have won their last 2.
Lions Bounce Back in SAIT Rematch

The Ambrose Lions faced off in a re-match against the SAIT Trojans after losing in 5 sets last night. Unhappy with their sub-par showing against the then 1-5 Trojans, the Lions were really looking for a win in their final match of 2022.
Lions End Eagles’ 6-Game Win Streak

The Ambrose Lions came into Saturday’s matchup against The King’s University Eagles hot on the heels of a strong win over Concordia Friday night. With a win, TKU would be able to take sole possession of first place in the ACAC North after winning their previous six.
Lions Pull off Comeback Versus Thunder

The Ambrose Lions looked to carry momentum from their 5-set marathon win against Northwestern Polytechnic into their Friday night matchup. The Lions entered the match 4-4, good for 4th place in the South, whereas the Thunder were sporting a 3-3 record.
Lions Take Down Broncos in Tight Matchup

The Ambrose Lions took on the Olds College Broncos at home Friday night looking to end their two-game skid. The game was the first of back-to-back games between these teams. The next matchup will be taking place at Olds College at 8pm Saturday Night.
